FC Dallas | Frisco, Texas | 13’x115’
As part of their stadium renovation, FC Dallas wanted to create a mural that celebrated the history of the organization and honored four influential men who have left a lasting mark on the club.
The mural pays tribute to Kenny Cooper, former player and current club ambassador; Fernando Clavijo, former technical director; Bobby Rhine, former player and broadcaster; and Lamar Hunt, the patriarch of the organization and former owner. Each played a unique role in shaping FC Dallas, contributing to the club’s legacy, growth, and identity both on and off the field.
In addition to honoring these four legends, the mural incorporates FC Dallas branding, soccer-inspired imagery, and the two major trophies the team has won. These elements come together to tell the story of the club, celebrating its accomplishments while recognizing the people who helped build its foundation. Bringing these different components together was an opportunity to create a design that felt cohesive while giving each tribute its own place within the larger composition.
Designed to be part of the stadium’s refreshed look, the mural connects the past and present of FC Dallas in one cohesive piece. The goal was to create something that would resonate with longtime supporters, introduce newer fans to the club’s history, and serve as a visual reminder of the people and achievements that have helped define the organization.
Through bold imagery, team iconography, and meaningful tributes, the mural celebrates the legacy of FC Dallas and the lasting impact of the individuals who helped shape it. The combination of historical references, recognizable branding, and championship achievements makes the piece about more than just soccer; it tells a story of the people, passion, and dedication behind the club.
As part of the stadium revamp, the mural adds a personal and historical element to the space, creating a connection between the organization’s legacy and its future. It serves as a lasting tribute to the individuals who helped make FC Dallas what it is today and celebrates the history that continues to inspire the club, its players, and its fans.
