Community National Bank | Corsicana, Texas | 8.5’x13’
Community National Bank wanted to add a little color to their ATM that sits on a really busy road. Their goal was less about making it a billboard and more about creating something that was eye catching, and made you want to stop even if you didn’t bank there. The final design blends bank imagery with Corsicana/Texas icons to create a collage that makes you stop and really take it in.
The colors used are both on the Texas flag and in the bank’s branding. The design is made up of butterflies made of origami dollar bills, an armadillo that doubles as a piggy bank, an oil derrick spewing money, and Benjamin Franklin wearing a cowboy hat on a $100 bill saying “That’s my bank!” - the banks iconic tag line. Additional elements such as cactus, stock lines, the shape of Texas, $, and the bank’s logo fill the negative space. I also like to sneak in easter eggs when I can, and this mural was no different. 1964, banks established year, is included as the the series number.
