Community Mural | Corsicana, Texas | 10’x40’
The Corsicana Main Street program wanted to commemorate their 40th Anniversary with a community led mural. A questionnaire was sent out to residents asking them what they wanted to see included in the mural. Some of the repeat subjects were the trolley car, the discovery of oil, the WW2 cadets that trained in the 40s, iconic downtown buildings, Wolf Brand Chili, Collin Street Bakery, as well as a couple of specific people who have been a part of Corsicana’s history. I then took their suggestions, created art, and then we hosted a community paint day. Everyone was invited to come out and be part of painting the mural.
